I hope so...

in fact unless I'm mistaken  it looks more like some film school project that is neither parody nor straight.

kind of like they were set an assignment: "re-do an 1960s trailer in the style of a modern day blockbuster". just to show they have reached a certain level of editing skills. jut a hunch...
