PULP FICTION - all time top 10 fav movie, but the scene with Bruce Willis and his annoying Asian girlfriend in their room goes on waaay too long
I thought she was French? Anyway, I sort of agree; the Butch storyline was the weakest part of PF (although it does feature The Gimp, so I guess it's gotta stay
).
A lot of people may disagree but I always thought the "bookend" scenes with the aged Ryan in SAVING PRIVATE RYAN were really unnecessary.
Eli Roth's "performance" in INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS. He's almost tolerable until he starts talking, railroads an otherwise perfect movie for me.
To me, those "bookend" scenes in SAVING PRIVATE RYAN were what MADE the movie. To this day, I can't watch the elderly Ryan turn to his wife and say "Tell me I have been a good man" without just choking up. It is an incredibly powerful moment.
Roger that one, Indy
Spielberg was showing that Private Ryan tried to spend the rest of his life honoring the sacrifice that was made for him. He was also clashing with a LOT of guilt over the fact that a group of men gave up their own lives for the sole purpose of his salvation from the horrors of war. It was an integral part of the movie as it showed the psychological impact, even decades later.
Anyhow, one of my favorite "bad part" movie moment?
Frankenstein Conquers The World 1965:
When Baragon was wrecking his way thru a farmhouse, there was a TERRIBLE scene with a horse in a corral. That horse was
so fake looking it was unreal as it was trying to escape the pen. It ruined an otherwise very surreal scene in what was a cool movie.
Ten Tigers From Kwangtung (1980's)
The Shaw Brothers were corny sometimes, but when one of the main bad guys dies at film's end, you see his head flying off of his body. Nothing new for an uncut Shaw movie. BUT, when you hear the fake sound accompanying the blow, AND see that the neck is way too long for a human neck, well let's just say it's beyond hysterical!
