I've only just registered on this forum so I don't mean to just barge in with suggestions, but I was wondering if there was any chance of making a list of this forum's favourite bad films (or if one has been made in the past)? Good lists of 'bad' films are hard to find and I think the members of this forum could collectively make a decent list. Maybe just something to think about, I think it would be fun Smile

The immortal Gymkata, hands down.

I think I'm also the only person who'll admit that I saw this in a cinema when it was first released.  Smile

I have a go-to list of crappy movies that are good to play at a movie night/party for group laughs.

American Astronaut
The Forbidden Zone
Killer Klowns from Outer Space
Braindead/Dead Alive
Class of Nuke Em High
Buckaroo Banzai
The Room [best done at a cinema though with a heap of people]

They're not so terrible that they'll melt peoples brains [though Forbidden Zone gets close there] but are enjoyable for the novice b-movie fan to casually get into.

I really do need to see Troll 2 and Birdemic though.

BAD is defined many different ways.  Here are 10, in no real order, at least most of which I own and are favorites of mine.  All of the films I'll list definitely meet some criteria of BAD, yet are all VERY GOOD if not GREAT!!!  Like BELA, I'll be picking 10 different ones!  Oo-oo!  My turn:
 1. RUSS MEYER's FASTER, p***yCAT!  KILL! KILL!   (1965)   Here's the WHOLE MOVIE - hurry!  Watch it!  The Queen of Bad Movies... It'll probably disappear soon:
Small | Large

 2. CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1962)  A great film that's pretty bad:
Small | Large

 3. STRAIT-JACKET (1964)  Fabulously BAD!!!
Small | Large

 4. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968)  Full movie.  This film went there first.  It's important and great.  It's also pretty bad:
Small | Large

 5. EQUINOX (1970)  Full movie again!!!
Small | Large

 6. GLEN OR GLENDA (1953)  Hilarious and dreadful:
Small | Large

Here is Part one, of seven all available on YouTube:
Small | Large

 7. COFFY (1973)  JUST GREAT!!! BLAXPLOITATIVE and BAD... ass!!!
Small | Large

 8. REEFER MADNESS (1936)  Full movie again.  Cool.

 9. METALSTORM: THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED-SYN (in 3D... 1983)  Okay, it's sh!t, but a big steamin' pile that never bores (I have fond memories of this crapola):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1DVWYYKK8mA (Embedding disabled, limit reached)

10. THE HONEYMOON KILLERS (1970)

5.NINJA TERMINATOR-Indescribable. Insane kung fu madness...and Garfield and a plastic robot.
if you think that one's bad you need to check out ULTIMATE NINJA. even 'worse' (imo)  TeddyR

1. RUSS MEYER's FASTER, p***yCAT!  KILL! KILL!   (1966)
Chopping Mall
I love both these films. kind of get the impression they are both aware of their own badness, and even play up to it?  as All Hallows said there are many criteria for 'bad', I suppose...

- RIP Tura Satana.. her passing seemed to go under the radar somewhat.

Here's another. I tried to stay away from "self-aware" bad movies, but I did throw in a couple of borderline cases. In no particular order!

*The Brain that Wouldn’t Die (1962) Sleaze and purple prose! "Like all quantities, horror has it's ultimate... and I am that."

Small | Large

*Fantasy Mission Force (1982) Crazy kung fu comedy with a haunted house, musical numbers, and Jackie Chan fighting a chicken. You'll have no idea what's going on!

Small | Large

*Faster p***ycat! Kill! Kill! (1965) This is the existential epic about castrating Amazon love-godesses with giant hooters Russ Meyer was born to make.

*Glen or Glenda? (1953) Simply unbelievable. The devil dream sequence is the strangest thing you'll ever see.

*Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) The funniest bad movie, a hands down favorite.

*Blood Feast (1963)  The first gore movie is just flat-out terrible. No one in the cast can act a lick.

Small | Large

*Bad Girls Go to Hell (1965) Doris Wishman was a "special" talent. I think this is one, about a "bad girl" on the run in New York city featuring lots of inexplicable shots of feet and furniture, is her "best" film.

Andrew's Review

*Blood Freak (1972) Pro-Jesus, anti-drug gore movie about a guy who eats a drugged turkey and turns into a turkey-headed monster. The narrator has an on-camera coughing fit from smoking too much. Jaw-dropping.

Andrew's review

*Gymkata (1985) Mixing gymnastics and karate, how could that possibly go wrong? Watch and see!

Small | Large

*Maniac (1934) Eyeball eating! Syringe catfights! 1930s boobies! Cat lovers beware!
