New here, awesome forum!

When I was just a youngster my older cousin used to rent bizarre horror films when I visited on weekends. Lately I've been trying to remember some of the ones that had scenes that still pop in my head from time to time. I've tracked down two (The Refrigerator and Castle Freak) but there is one Google hasn't helped with. All I can remember is the opening:
Two girls sneak into an old church like building that has pool and decide for a little skinny dipping. To an 9 year boy (me), this was a great start. The camera cuts to the bottom of the pool showing some sort of creature that has been awakened (I can remember the eye opening up). Then the creature thing proceeds to kill the girls.
That's it, all I can remember. So, anybody know what the heck I'm talking about?

One of the user reviews at Amazon says the following:

QuoteSet in a small town called Allburg, two girls Lucy (Dolenz) and Cindy (Maya McLaughlin) visit an old abandoned church. A creepy looking old gothic cathedral. The legend goes that you can actuall swim in an old crypt beneath the church so the girls give it a try. Well, Cindy loses her crucifix as it floats to the bottom of the crypt and awakens a vampire from his sleep and he immediately kills her while Lucy escapes.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

I know that the requestor will need to state if this is or not to close the thread.  I will say that that this is the movie that The-Thing is thinking about.  Good job and props to Jack.

A fun movie to watch, silly ending though.

Will have to watch again.

Thanks,

John
