I've seen 23 (if I counted correctly).

Terrible title for this list since some of these films aren't scary, some aren't gory, and some are socially redeeming.

Attack of the Beast Creatures. A more redundant title there has never been.

Hmm, what have I seen...

12. Pulse (2001)

21. The Midnight Meat Train (2008)

25. Dog Soldiers (2002)

27. Bloody Pit of Horror: Gore? At the very beginning maybe, if I were feeling generous. It certainly wasn't scary.

32. Thankskilling: Absolutely no redeeming qualities or entertainment value whatsoever. Also one of the few movies that makes me angry simply by existing.

33. Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead: It's Troma.

56. The Devil's Backbone (2001)

61. The Blair Wtich Project (1999)

63. Wrong Turn (2003)

66. Human Centipede: Least socially redeeming? You don't say.

I've seen these

Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl (2009) - turned it off after 15 minutes
The Quartermass Xperiment (1955) - thought it was pretty disappointing after Quatermass and the Pit
The Shiver of the Vampires (1971) - can't remember it, but I'm pretty sure I just watched it a few months ago
Contamination.7 (1993) - the one with the killer tree roots lol
Inseminold (1981) - old favorite of mine, watched it several times
Dog Soldiers (2002) - I thought this was fair
Sleepaway Camp (1983) - meh
Bloody Pit of Horror (1965) - fun exploitation flick
The House that Screamed (1969) - sort of nice and atmospheric, had good characters too I think.
Ravenous (1999) - that's the one with the werewolves in the Civil War era.  That was pretty good.
Session 9 (2001) - everybody loved this - I thought it was okay
Spider Baby (1968) - watched maybe 20 minutes of that a long time ago
The Blair Witch Project (1999) - no really, I've seen it lol
Wrong Turn (2003) - really liked that one

word. I mean how are they going to include the original BLACK XMAS, which is very influential/highly regarded and not very bloody, but not include a completely vile bloody sleaze-fest like  NEW YORK RIPPER?

Deathdream is "least socially redeeming"? Uh, excuse me, but that was one hell of a commentary on the horrors of 'Nam. Scary? Yes. Gory? No. Poignant in a kind of twisted way. Amazing? Hell yes! Also, CSPWDT? The last ten minutes were scary, but it doesn't belong on the list.

There some real classics on that list actually.

The Innocents (1961)
Black Christmas (1974)  - probably the original slasher film
Eyes Without a Face
The Quatermass Xperiment - a must for classic Sci-Fi fans.
Don't Look Now

They list those with a title like that but left out Q, the Winged Serpent?

The whole list is like that. Some aren't gory, some aren't all that scary, some have a lot to say about society and human nature, and many have some measure of artistic merit. Hardly the scariest, goriest, least socially redeeming films out there. And assuming the "never" means that these are obscure movies, that's also a big stretch for most of the list.

I'm guessing whoever compiled this list hasn't seen many such movies.  Where's Buttcrack or Retardead?  I was about beside myself when I noticed May, which features a fair amount of commentary on human nature, and The Blair Witch Project, which really doesn't fall under any of the three categories.

Exactly. This list is just a prime example of how magazines are destined to die a horrible, money-failing death. It used to be that garbage like this was only available in magazine form. But now anybody, and I do mean anybody, can put together a list like this and have it paid attention to. The internet has made it that anybody with an opinion can have that opinion published. Now that may sound bad, but it isn't. The reason is because seriously knowledgeable people, people who are very well versed in s**t movies can spout out.

Survival of the fittest, lazy lists like this have no reason to exist anymore.

The only reason magazines like Maxim exist anymore is that they can get starlets to pose for them. (I'm not against that. Yes, I do want to see Diora Baird in whatever photoshoot you want to pose her in.) The rest of it? I've written better material, and I'm a lazy nobody.

Ou tof the whole lot of them I've finished Kubrick's The Shining and The Blair Wtich Project (1999). I tried watching Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006) all the way through but I gave up on it about half way through. And I've heard of Human Centipede (2010), Human Centipede 2 (2011) and Cannibal Holocaust (1980).
