HELTER SKELTER (1976) Charles Manson
THE MANSON FAMILY (2003) Charles Manson
MONSTER (2003) Aileen Wournos
THE HILLSIDE STRANGLER (2004) Kenneth Bianchi & Angelo Buono
PERFUME:THE STORY OF A MURDERER(2006) Fiction

i remember watching Helter Skelter at a drive-in when i was a child. Perfume probably the weirdest movie ive watched in this genre. The Manson Family, i think i switched off 10 mins into the movie, extremly violent, will try and watch it again someday

I thought the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre created an awesome level of tension and just never let up.

I don't know if I would call it the "creepiest," but I really like this one.

^^
Maybe not the movie itself but Terry O'Quinn's performance is certainly scary.

Hands down

ironically I've never seen this despite winning it as a prize in a radio competition in the mid 90s - they sent me a vhs of JAWS by mistake.  Thumbdown

THE MANSON FAMILY (2003) Charles Manson

you should, it's excellent IMO. a lot of the 'based on a true story' serial killer flicks I've seen didn't really work for me. (Zodiac, the Ted Bundy ones etc.) they put a real interesting spin on THE MANSON FAMILY that put it in a different class to the standard bio-pic fare

Heck yes.  Great but seriously disturbing film.

Another pick:

The Killing Kind (1973) - Features one of the most uncomfortable murder scenes I've seen in a movie.

Remake was mentioned but how 'bout the original?

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) - A nerve wracking and singular film in my opinion.

This movie is pretty good. It's another one about Henry Lucas. It's not gory, just a really disturbing look at a group of outcasts.
I here the DVD is cut. Why is a mystery, it's not gory, I'm guessing they didn't realize their source was cut.
I like how the cover apes THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. Which is another good serial killer flick.

Seriously f**ked up.
The vhs tape scene made me feel like I needed a shower.

I watched it with Tara Sue and one of her freinds I didnt know-and I felt like I should tell them how sick I thought it was-in case her freind thought I was some kinda sicko for watching this horror to begin with!
Tara already knew I was a sicko.  Wink

DERANGED (1974) was lotsa fun,though.

Dahmer (2002)

Overlooked and ignored. Not a cheap cash-in, but a disturbing and creepy portrait of one sick individual. Excellent cast and performances.
