Man spies on a woman

Greetings All,

I've tried searching a lot for this movie on imdb and google but no luck. It was a movie I saw in the early 2000's, didn't seem like a really old movie, wasn't an english language movie as well, drama based, no horror. The man spies on her in the womans house who lives alone and she doesn't even come to know that someone was spying on her even when the movie ends. The girl seems like a high-functioning person on the outside, seems good at her job maybe a tad mean even, I'm not sure, don't fully remember but when she's inside her house she's a different person more depressed plus has a fear of over-eating/weight-issues which she eventually does in a cake or ice-cream eating scene. The man ends up helping her out in some way. That's almost all I remember. Any help as to the name of this movie will be greatly appreciated.
