Hi All;
I'm new here and really hoping that you may be able to help me track down the name of a film which I saw in my childhood and the title of which has been bugging me for many years.
It's hard to pinpoint how exactly old I was when I say the film, but I would have to guess that it was produced in the time frame of mid 70's to mid 80's.
I also seem to remember that it was (part) filmed or produced in (British) Honduras or Belize and that there were several jungle shots (maybe a waterfall or two) which probably led to the choice of some of the filming location.
As far as I remember, there were a group of explorers (Male, Female, possibly a child?) who enter a cave system and end up getting lost. I believe that they were leaving stones / markers so that they could find their way back, but discover that they were being moved. It turns out they are being watched by (what to my young mind were) phosphorescent/powder blue creatures (king of glowing in the dark). It turns out that these creatures aren't hostile but are the descendants of a group of aliens who had crashed millennia ago and the remains of their spaceship are embedded within the cave system (my even be some of the cave system). We eventually see part of the alien 'hardware' which over time has become quite covered in stalagmites with bits of circuitry / control panel still showing through. I think the aliens wore jewelry / necklaces made from wire / circuit fragments of the ship and toward the end gave a similar necklace to one or more of the explorers before they found (were shown?) the way out and back to the surface.
I think the film ended with them emerging in to jungly/waterfally/sunlight before the credits roll.
If you can help with a name or other information on this movie I would be most grateful.

This sounds a lot like "What Waits Below."  I have a review for it on the site:
