I saw this in the early 1970's on T.V. Possibly British. A sculptor(?) has been killing and freezing people to make his "Sculptures". I really only remember the scene in which one of the sculptures that is posed with a bow and arrow has melted enough to release the arrow and it kills the sculptor. I think.

I have not seen it in a while but it sounds very much like A Bucket of Blood (1959)

I don't think the movie is Bucket of Blood, but I'll track down a copy and watch it. I'm thinking the film is European, based on the visuals I remember. I also think it's in color, but that could just be my imagination. I vividly recall seeing 'The Scarlet Claw' and to this day I swear up and down the titles were in blood red, but that would be impossible for a B&W film made in 1944.

If anyone else is interested in watching Bucket of Blood, it is in the public domain and can be downloaded from here (add the http part at the start and the .html at the end):

Sorry for the weird formatting, but the site does not like you to post links.

After watching a bit of Black Sabbath, I'm thinking the film may be Italian. The photography and lighting in Black Sabbath is very close to what I remember.

Wow that is treasure! Unfortunately it is not the movie I seek. Although I think I have seen this before. I'm thinking the movie I'm after is contemporary for when it was filmed (i.e. set in the 1960's). Mill of the Stone Women has also made me think the lighting was more natural, or at least not using locked rim lighting.
