I found this absolutely amazing piece of CGI work at Youtube, done by a guy named Ron Haselius (all rights regognized and reserved) and he brings us the Jupiter 2 in all it's glory (and them some) in this video.

Here she is, the one, the only, Jupiter 2!

Hi! Sorry I haven't replied sooner but the holidays and all that...

I too have the Polar Lights J2 as well and would seriously love to install some of the LED light kits they have for the core reactor and the interior control panels. A lotof clips at Youtube feature J2 kits with the light sets and it just adds a whole new dimension to an already lovely kit!  She was always one of my fave ships!

I never had the Jupiter 2 model kit.  But I did have this one (the original Aurora model from the 1960s!)

Oh man, that is one georgeous shot of the model box! I remember those when I was little and I also remember my cousin having the LIS lunchbox with the Cyclops on it. I also remember the model of The Robot too.  I tell ya' man, nothng makes you feel better than seeing this old stuff again. Oh yeah, I also have the Polar Lights repro of this kit. I gotta' dig it out and put it together someday.
