Movie about dreams(?)/sleep/memory

Sorry for not being to clear but this is gist of what I can recall: A world in which some unknown individuals (calling them Memory Swappers from now on) either give humans a new 'identity.' The main character of the film wakes up during the swap process which forces the individuals to hunt him down. From there I'm just drawing blanks but I know the Memory Swappers eventually catch the protagonist and attempt to swap his memory but one of the doctors(?) inserts himself into protagonist's memory and tells him how he can trimpuh over the Memory Swappers. The good guy and says something about he wants to go to the beach (because of an advertisement or a 'memory' that he had) and the movie ends with him at a beach..

Once again sorry for not being clear but I'd be much obliged if you could tell me the name of the film.
