This just occurred to me recently, that I haven't seen a single horror film involving pirates.  I've found plenty with creepy ships, but nothing with actual pirates.  Do any exist?

The "wreckers" in DEMONIACS aren't exactly pirates but they're awfully close.

I think the killers in THE FOG are basically pirates.
Some might see THE ISLAND as a horror film; that has pirates.

Same two films I thought of. "The Fog" I found surprisingly good. "The Island," on the other hand, one of the few films, and I've seen some bad ones, I found to be totally unwatchable.

Blood Surf had some modern day pirates, but they weren't really different than any other generic bad guys. No eye patches or peg legs or shiver me timbers  Bluesad
