This is outside of the new proposed trilogy. I don't know what to think, at this point.

Director Joe Johnston ("Captain America") has indicated his desire to build a movie around the mysterious bounty hunter Boba Fett,

I'd be down for this. Boba Fett is the man!!

while Vulture reported recently that Zack Snyder ("Man of Steel") was going to direct a "Star Wars" film inspired by "The Seven Samurai"

Roger Corman already did that. It was called "Battle Beyond the Stars."

...or was that "The Magnificent Seven?" I always get those two confused. BounceGiggle

Think I could stand a whole movie full of backwards sentences me doesn't.  I dunno, Yoda was cool in a small role in part 2 or 5 or whatever, but he doesn't hold nearly enough appeal to me to be worth an entire 90 minutes.  Especially now that he's a little whirling dervish of CGI.  I'm a bit more interested in the upcoming video game Star Wars 1313 where you play as a bounty hunter on Coruscant in what's promised to be a more dark take on the franchise.

While this thread does not mention it, the article does mention that there is talk of doing a stand-alone film about Jabba the Hutt. But, if you scroll down the further on the link (and thanks for the link Fausto) the two most likely characters to get a stand-alone film are Boba Fett (Darn! But I hate that character) and Han Solo in his early years.

One good piece of news coming out of this, is that apparently the scripts will be written by Lawrence Kasdan. One of the better screenwriters in Hollywood films. Though, that is still not enough for me to see a film based on Boba Fett. Did I say I hated that character?

I just heard something about a film on Yoda's back story and to be completely honest...

I'd definitely go to see that.

Unless they mess it up like...

A film about Han Solo in his early years is one that occured to me last night. I might actually enjoy seeing that one. Wink
