I consider Night Skies quite scary so I thought another film on the same theme might be scary.
Unfortunately, although this film could've raised the question of whether the characters were abducted at all, but instead removed that psychological aspect by showing aliens* meaning we're subjected to watching a "mystery" unfold that we already know the answer to.
* - They looked like tribal masks, except alien grey-based.
It frequently focuses on the characters' relationships. Apparently we're supposed to sympathise with a woman who physically abuses her boyfriend, attempted to shoot him when she thought he cheated on her**.
** - Another woman was wearing a shirt that resembled her boyfriend's.
It's also incredibly overdirected, with pointless colour filters and whatnot.
Also random stuff kept happening like the sudden focus on a reporter and cameraman; Troma-level random except the movie wasn't attempting to be funny.
I haven't actually succeeded in finishing it. It's pretty incoherant, and people keep having pseudo-intelligent conversations, like about legality vs. morality on the subject of speeding near a school.
