It's closer to something from Battletech.  Actually, the design of the robot is even closer to the Robotech/Macross fighting vehicles, but the style of the poster reminds me more of Battletech.

Looking forward to this one!

This movie looks like a lot of fun. Giant robots, giant monster, explosions, what more could I was for?  I don't even really need a plot, just robots and monsters fighting.

The movie looks pretty fun based on the trailer but this poster is a little underwhelming.  That being said: massive robots kicking Kaiju-esque monsters can't be horrible so I'll forgive them this time.
