Most of you may already know that I have somewhat of a fetish for rock n’ roll horror movies.  Last night I found a 1984 slasher called Rocktober Blood! on Youtube!  It was pretty fun!  I think the writing and the dialogue was a little painful at times, but they make up for it by being super realistic in other areas, such as showing how to really wash your hair when taking a bath.  It has some scary parts (to me anyway), but the best part is that the songs are actually kind of catchy!  I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I liked “Rainbow Eyes” and it’s been playing in my head all day.  Though, the male lead singer of the band looked more like a jock than a rock star.

I recommend it to anyone that enjoys rock n’ roll, slashers and stupidity.  If you love me, you will watch it.

p.s. If this movie was already raved about in the past, suck it up and pretend it wasn't.

Seen this back in video rental days. Around that time we've been members of countless rental stores, but only one had Rocktober Blood. Didn't like it very much back then. I should revisit one of these days.

I've seen it but I can't remember much about it

strange sub-genre though, the 'rock slasher' type movies

there's another obscure one called
Black Roses Small | Large
that looks fun

Hey Paquita!  Umaril here, nice to see you again!  Cheers

I've seen Rocktober Blood and agree with you on just about everything you said...I even have my old VHS from the 80's and it plays nicely.  And I even went to see it at a party back then when I was around 19 or 20!

The music was good, and the stage sets were awesome, with the medieval horror theme for the one song towards the end.  Maybe I should take this one out and watch it again sometime!

I've seen most of these, but not Blood Tracks or Trick or Treat!  I've been dying to see Trick or Treat,  but I think I'm going to have to buy it.  I had to buy Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park to see it.. I heard something about Kiss or Gene Simmons hating that movie so much that they try to make it hard to get.  It's really a ball though!  They should get over it and embrace their goofiness!

Rock and Roll Nightmare might be one of the greatest movies of all time... if it weren't for the uncomfortable shower scenes.  It's definitely one of my favorites!

I will try to see if I can find Blood Tracks!  It sounds fun!

But have you see Rockula?

Okay, it's less horror and more romantic comedy, but it does feature a vampire that starts his own rock band.
