So when is James Bond NOT James Bond?
Apparently when he's swilling scotch, doing needlepoint, being a misogynist and tending to his cats.
...oh yeah, and taking out North Sea terrorists.
That's when.I think the first line in the synopsis "So when is James Bond NOT James Bond?" hits the nail on the head. This was--apparently, as I understood it at the time--Moore's attempt to get away from his image as Bond. Of course, how did the filmmakers advertise the film? Why as a Bond type film. Which would seem to defeat the purpose of making the film. Anyway, another fine review, so I am looking forward to the next review.
