Who is your favorite Mad Scientist?
There are SO many to choose from.

Among Horror Hosts, one guy who has been using B-movies for his 'experiments' is Jerry Harrel AKA Dr. Madblood. Never had a chance to see the show, but his blooper reel (And a 35 year run!) make me wish I had.

As for movies...wow.
I'd have to go with Dr. Gangreen from the Killer Tomatoes series. John Asten is having a ball playing the doc, and I like that.

Still, there is Dr. Goldfoot. And Dr. Evil...lot of Doctors. Oh, and the Mad from MONSTERS VS ALIENS.

Sooooo...Yours?

I gotta go with:

* Herbert West (Re-Animator)
* Dr. Strangelove (name of the movie escapes me)
* Doc Brown (Back To The Future)
* Seth Brundle (The Fly)
* Rotwang (Metropolis)

Hugo Drax from Moonraker is a favorite.  "James Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season."

Gimme a couple of days I'm sure I'll come up with more.

The guy from MANIAC, even though he gets bumped off in the first ten minutes.

DR. PHIBES.

Really hard to leave out the grandaddy of 'em all, Dr. Frankenstein.

Karloff dID A LOT of mad doctor movies-but he was doing it  to advance the human race in some f**ked up way. Lugosi-he played a lot of mad doctors-but his intentions were pure evil.  Thumbup

I'm a big fan of Dr. Logan/"Frankenstein" from Romero's Day of the Dead.

He's almost the personification of an isolated intellect, arrogant and cold. It's great the way he shoots down all the alpha-male posturing of the soldiers as (he sees it) subservient to his scientific interests. It's only until late in the movie when we realize that Logan is completely deranged.
