Australian horror vary somewhat. Personnally, I had Australian horror on both my top  10 and bottom 10 lists for 2011, and they #2 and #1 respectively.

I thought Rogue was overhyped. In fairness, it might well actually be the best creature feature since  Jaws.

And so on.

Anyway, this particular one certainly wasn't the type where you're not sure what you're getting.

It was pretty much the most generic The Ring clone you'd ever see, the main difference being people who watch a snuff film die within a matter of minutes or seconds.

Even the ghost Sadie had a name sounding like what Ring's ghost Sadako would choose if he* adopted a western name.

* - I say "he" because Sadako is a hermaphrodite in the novel and frankly all versions of the movie pale in comparison.

In fact, despite being ginger, there's a similar hair thingy going to to what you'd find in J-horror. The hair had a tendency to appear and find its way to the victim before they were killed.

On the upside, Lovefilm's services are doing what I registered with them for (preventing me from buying DVD's I'd only watch once).

Earth is visited by a GIANT ANTIMATTER SPACE BUZZARD! Gawk at the amazingly bad bird puppet, or chuckle over the silly dialog. This is one of the greatest b-movies ever made.
