Trying to find a film that I saw on TV in the mid 1970s. After an exhaustive search, and watching a lot of very strange movies on the internet trying to find it, no luck so far.

Not sure of the actual release date, but I would guess late 60s or early 70s.

It was in color. It had the look and feel of Barbarella.

Plot part that I can remember, girls were placed into sometype of device that encased them into a clear material like acrylic/amber. When they came out of the device they went down a hanging conveyor system.

Sorry for the brief description, but if you saw it in the movie it should stand out.

Hopefully it will ring a bell with someone here? Thanks!

The only thing I can think of, and I don't think this is your movie, is Invasion of the Bee Girls, where the women are converted to Bee Girl-dom by being encased in honey.

Most likely not your movie, but I'd say it's worth watching.

Definitely not Invasion of  the Bee Girls - one of my all time favourite B(ee) movies - but you may be thinking of Lifeforce (1985), the very loose adaptation of the Colin Wilson novel, The Space Vampires.  And it just happens to be another of my favourite B-movies.

In Lifeforce, a vast alien spacecraft is discovered hidden inside the tail of Halley's Comet.  Inside are transparent crystal sarcophagi containing naked people, including the wonderful Mathilda May, who spends the entire movie naked and sucking the lifeforce out of people.

Warning: NSWF, significant French boobage involved.
