Enjoyed the review.

If they are using fairy tales for the subject of films, then I say keep 'em coming. As I enjoy those type of films more often than not.

Normally, I don't like sequels, but I did enjoy this one enough, that I hope it does spawn a sequel. It was certainly set up for a sequel.

As for what may be coming in the future, I know of three films. "Maleficent," the big bad fairy from "Sleeping Beauty," with Angelina Jolie in the title role. From Disney Studios and to be released sometime next year. "Jack the Giant Killer," which is actually a reworking of "Jack and the Beanstalk" with Jamie Atkins in the title role. Coming from Global Asylum sometime this year. (Most likely bypassing theaters and going straight to DVD.) And "Jack the Giant Slayer," which is actually a reworking of "Jack the Giant Killer," (Do you have all that?) with Nicholas Hoult in the title role. Coming from New Line Cinema also sometime this year.

As for "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," I would add the musical score to the good parts of the film.

Again, enjoyed the review.

A good bad movie is like popcorn for the soul!

I sat and watched this one with my family tonight, and it was thoroughly enjoyable.  The medieval setting combined with the quasimodern weaponry and magic usage made it very fun - especially the wind-up taser!  I also thought the performances were good, and Edward the Troll quickly became one of my favorite characters.
