I normally can't stand internet ads but just the other day I saw one while browsing a favorite site in the form of a movie trailer.
It's not every day that I see a horror movie pitched during WWII that features Russian soldiers. That difference was what first drew me in, the Frankenstein plot only sold it more and once I started seeing all the mechanical undead Nazi soldiers, damn, I was sold. I saw Sucker Punch last week and wanted more steam-powered undead guys. That's another movie the general public and my usually trusted group of web reviewers betrayed me on as it was visually awesome and had dragons and robots.
Segue.
Anyway, it opened in select theaters today and is also available OnDemand. I've definitely checking it out, evil-nazi-monsters film fans might want to as well.
Edit: It surpasses the trailer. There are somewhere between 30-40 unique mechafrankennazi creatures and the effects work is very good. It's also a "footage" movie, as in there's a Red Army cinematographer following the squad to document events to bring back to Russia.
The guy dubbed "mosquito", probably the best one.
