Caution: True Crime Thread

I like reading about unsolved murders, out of morbid curiosity I guess. The Keddie Murders is one of the most horrifying in my opinion. This took place in 1981 in the cabin community Keddie, Californa. Here's the wiki link.
A website "dedicated" to the Keddie Murders suspects the killings was an inside job (one of the killers made a confession to his psychiatrist) but no arrests were ever made. One witness of the crime was hypnotized on several occasions but nothing much came of it.

What do you think is the most horrifying?

One of the first serial killings of all time and one that is regarded as still being unsolved: the Jack the Ripper killings. While there have been a number of guesses who it might have been, ever since the murders were first committed in 1888, there never has been, to my knowledge, a suspect upon which everyone agrees.

I hadn't heard of the murders in Keddie, California, but what makes it worst--to my mind--is that some of the victims were kids.

Never heard of the Keddie Murders before either until some people claimed The Strangers (2008) was based on said case. Though the Producers of The Strangers said their movie was inspired by the Manson/Tate killings.

Austin's "Servant Girl Annihilator" of 1890 was pretty awful:

The Boy in the Box. A boy, between 4-6 years old, was found dead, beaten, and shoved in a cardboard box in Philly.

Been worse murders, but I heard it as a kid and it stuck with me.

I've always had the idea that Princess Diana and Marilyn Monroe were murdered and I don't think we'll ever find out the truth about those. If Diana was murdered, it was a truly senseless act and if she was indeed murdered, the 31 August 1997 will haunt me forever, as it will her douche bag of an ex husband.

Probably Scotland's most infamous unsolved murder case is the "Bible John Murders" in Glasgow in the late 1960's.

Same here. Especially given the brutal mutilation of the corpse.

Even though they've never been declared legally dead, the case of The Springfield Three has fascinated me ever since I first heard about it.  I'm a huge true crime buff and this is one case I have never stopped thinking about.

Watch the entire video and tell me you're not wondering what happened to them.

If you get into this case, go to Websleuths.com and check out the discussion.  It's pretty interesting!

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.
