My heart and prayers go out to you.....and stay active, both physically and mentally, as long as you can.

     What she said.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

I hate hearing this.  Our family has been working through this with my mother, and it is very hard.  I can tell you that proper nutrition helps her a lot.  She is much less confused when she gets proper meals (she is still living alone - we have tried to change that).  The suggestion of exercise and mental exercise seems like a good one!

Besides testosterone, are there any other natural dietary intake suggestions?

Sorry to hear this news. Agree with others about keeping mentally and physically active. All the best to you.

I never know what to say in times like these.  Will a sad face work?  :bluesad:

I think many of us older Americans have been disappointed by the turn of our economy and our culture.  Then, of course, we all must deal with the issues of aging.  I've been touched by several of the issues you mention.
I can say we all really do love you Trekgeezer.  Be well, and LIVE!

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

Sorry to hear about this trek. Best of luck to you. I'm sure you've already discussed this thoroughly with your doc, but just in case i found a few articles discussing dietary methods of slowing Alzheimer's progression.
