Out of interest, I recently purchases Volume 1 and 2 of the DVD series "Grindhouse Trailer Classics". I have to say they were well worth the purchase. These DVDs have a feature-length presentation of trashy exploitation trailers from the late 60s to early 80s, which include sexploitation, martial arts, splatter flicks, video nasties and blaxploitation, with more gore and nudity than you can imagine. In this movie industry, nothing was off-limits. As explicit as the content is, it is a pleasure to sit through this stuff if you're a cult movie enthusiast. The quality of the trailers normally varies, but is surprisingly acceptable. They tend to be very muddy and washed-up though, but that just adds to the old-fashioned look. Bonus features are also featured including posters of the films shown and a documentary about the subject of this trend.

A great package overall, I've already ordered the third volume. My ONLY complaint with this DVD was a lack of old drive-in snipes in between trailers (aside from "prevues of coming attractions") to enhance the experience. I also did not like how some trailers had attempts to cheaply "re-create" them using video editor-esque text overlays, I felt it spoiled the gritty and grainy look. These only include a small minority of trailers though and does little to distract from enjoyment. These DVDs are only UK-exclusive from what I know, so other people may have to import overseas if they're interested. Still, I believe the US gets better treatment anyway when it comes to B-movie trailer reels, many of which are found on Something Weird Video releases (if not, feel free to correct me).

I really like these DVDs overall, trash cinema at it's best.
