They showed the pilot plus 4 episodes last night.  I went to bed before the last episode.  I thought it was really good.  It's the exact same story as the original, but with new actors it seems quite fresh.  The characters were likable and the acting was good.  Special effects were also surprisingly good for a SyFy TV show.  I think I'll keep watching.

Edit:  LOL just realized this came out in 2009 on ABC and SyFy is just showing it now for the first time.  I'm confused as usual  Smile

That was a really good show.  Too bad they cancelled it.

I haven't seen the new show, but have many fond memories of the old show with Marc Singer and Michael Ironside, AND a budding young actor by the name of Robert Englund. And as always, the lovely June Chadwick as the alien leader. Fun times.

Pest control on a hole new level, lol  Reminds me of the episode where they got Robert Englund's character drunk, and he was stumbling around going, "here, mousey, here mousey mousey" as he was looking for rats to chow on.  That was pretty funny.
