These weird chess sets got me to thinkin'...what B-movie characters would you like to see make up a chess board?

King- Godzilla.
Queen- Mothra.
Knights-Rodan.
Bishops- The Giant behemoth.
Castle- G-force HQ.
Pawns- The JSDF.

I'd actually make Anguirus the knight and make Rodan the Bishops.  Just to keep every thing Toho related.

How about the Harryhausen set.

Pawns- The skeletons from Jason and the Argonauts.
Rooks (Castle)- Talos
Knights - Gwangi
Bishops - Kali from Golden Voyage of Sinbad.
Queen - Medusa from Clash of the Titans
King - Beast from 20,000 Fathosm

King: Ash
Queen: Henrietta or Sheila
Bishops: Little Evil Ashes
Pawns: Skeletons from AOD

It's not that hard, as you need only to think of six different figures: King, Queen, Rook or Castle, Knight, Bishop, and Pawn. Of course, it gets twice as hard, if you use different figures for both the black pieces and the white pieces, but we won't go there. So . . .

Of course . . .
King: Dracula

In her lamia-human form and with bare boobies . . .
Queen: Lady Sylvia Marsh

Because he has a flat head . . .
the Rook or Castle: Frankenstein's Monster

Because it is associated with horses or at least animals . . .
the Knight: the Werewolf, and we can give him hooves.


Because it is associated with Notre Dame . . .
the Bishop: the Hunchback, and we can give him a bishop's miter.

And because they are often the pawn in a horror film, such as "Cemetery Man" . . .
Pawns: eight little boy scouts
