I'm a long time lurker and big fan of this site (where is Andrew I miss his reviews), and after months of no success looking for this film I once saw on USA back when joe Bob Briggs did his show, I didn't know where else to turn.

The movie was most likely made in the late 1970s but could possibly have been made in the early 1980s.  I am fairly convinced it may have been an Italian film or other foreign film as many where made about satanic possession during that time period.

The plot concerns a boy (about 12-15 years old if I recall) in what seems to be a centuries old religious school.  He is picked on by the other boys and just doesn't fit in with anyone.  He begins sneaking down to the basement and practicing demonic rituals.  Towards the end of the movie he unleashes some kind of powerful evil with the intent of revenge.  He levitates around with a huge ancient sword decapitating people and in general causing massive amounts of fake blood to spray everywhere.

What it this film?
