Holy cow I enjoyed this movie!

I was a pretty big fan of the original, but the sequel tops it in every way.  Darker, bloodier, funnier, with a bigger cast and some amazing fight sequences, this movie . . . well, it does what its title says!

Hit-Girl and Kick-Ass, AKA Mindy and Dave, are trying to return to a normal teenage life a year after the death of Big Daddy and the demise of the evil crimelord he died fighting.  But the call of the streets is strong, especially since ordinary people all over New York are donning spandex and going out at night to fight crime.  Mindy turns her back on her alter ego for a while, but Dave joins up with a band of brothers (and sisters) led by The Colonel to "make the world a better place" by beating up on all the criminals they can find.

But the Red Cloud, infuriated by the death of his father in the first film, decides to seek vengeance by becoming a Super-Villain and recruiting an army of tough-as-nails bad guys (and one bad girl) to help him burn down the city and kill Kick-Ass, avenging his father once and for all.

Although pretty gory in places, this was a very fun film to watch, and I found myself cheering for the good guys in the final scene.

Can't wait for KICK-ASS 3!!!

Could have done without the whole "Mindy goes Mean Girls", but overall I agree with you.
Gotta start reading the comic soon even though the first one got a little bit worse after reading it.
