This one i don't remember much because I couldn't see the whole movie but what I saw definitely burned to my mind.
It was about some spaceship which was shaped a classic v electric guitar. They were hovering over the earth
and the "aliens" were actually human shaped but dehydrated to miniatures. I think there was 5 of them in tubes
and to go down to earth they needed to go thru re-hydration process to make them human sized again.

Too bad I never could finish this movie because my friends mom threw as out because we were watching movies during
the daytime.

I am happy to have found this forum and I hope I can be any help and get some memories back from my childhood.

Sounds like maybe one of the Phantasm movies.

Oh my good, it might be that Voyage of the rock aliens ! In the trailer there is a flying phone booth which I also remember. Incredible, thanks !  Smile

confirmed ! it was the movie "Voyage of the rock aliens". i am a little bit shocked that this movie is a musical. that i definitely did not remember.
