What are people's opinions on it? Personally for me, it stands as one of my favourite cult flicks. I do agree the film is a bit cheesy, the gangs are incredibly unrealistic and it does have slow-pace in some moments. Still, I really enjoyed it for the dark and gritty atmosphere, eerie synth music and personality of the characters. I also really like the beat-em-up video game that Rockstar Games published in 2005, it captured the feel of the movie perfectly and even expanded on it's timeline.

And yeah, I don't think anyone can forget this guy.

I saw it at the drive-in (double feature with Cheech & Chong's UP IN SMOKE) at the height of the controversy that it was too violent and was causing gang fights to break out in movie theaters.  Overall, I found it to be very tame and not a single member of the Warriors seemed very "tough" to me.  But it's one of my guilty pleasures and I watch my copy of the DVD about once per year.

I watched it the other day, and I was rather underwhelmed by it.

I remember an article way back in The Face or some such magazine about fans re-enacting the movie. Groups of people would run along the course of the Warriors, and have to meet challenges along the way. Did such a thing actually happen, or is my memory playing tricks on me?

I really like this film and I think the original music is great too.

I love it. One of my favourites. Thumbup Sure it's a comic book style fantasy but it's really quite an entertaining film and I find myself rooting for the Warriors every time.
