Today, the highly anticipated follow up to Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, begins filming in NYC.

In addition to returning stars Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox, Mark McGrath, Kelly Osbourne, Andy Dick, Judah Friedlander, and Judd Hirsch have also signed on for the Syfy movie.

In Sharknado 2: The Second One, “a freak weather system turns its deadly fury on New York City, unleashing a sharknado on the population and its most cherished, iconic sites. Fin and April will need to save the Big Apple.”

Signs were spotted around 54th St and Broadway in NYC for filming on Tuesday (2/18) and Wednesday (2/19).

How humiliating would it be to get your car towed by SHARNADO 2.

Or maybe it would be kind of a badge of honor...

The mere fact that New York allows The Asylum to shoot there speaks volumes for the tolerance of the Big Apple residents.  TeddyR

No Cassie Scerbo? She was by far the best part of the first one.

Interesting concept to crowdfund a scene. Those guys as Asylum never cease to amaze.

Who has $5,000?!?!

We need to get Trevor in a heroic scene where he fights off a shark with his undies!
