For me it was Ash-then known as Ash the Cat.
and Scott--a very unique guy-I miss him.
All Hallows and Menard-Hallows-of course-is still here. Menard-he pokes up!
Trek Geezer, and the very missed Sister Grace.
And-of course-Trevor-who is very  near and dear to my heart and beloved by all.
Don't get me wrong-these were just the first I was endeared to.
And-of course-the reason I floated here-Andrew-his unique humor and love of these films that brought us all together-I been back and forth-mainly because of money and family problems-but I really love all you guys-newcomers-old timers-we are family!
Lets get MUSHY!!!

Mine was Mr. RC Merchant himself.

In my very first post we were talking about THE GEEK, that terrible 70s Bigfoot porno.

I mentioned that very same movie in one of my most recent posts responding to Menard's bragging about having a Bigfoot porno-writing buddy.  TeddyR

You,my freind-were the first who I got to talk to about that witch is still very near and dear to my heart-and that was the classic films from the old days-the Universal horrors. My first love-and still-has always been with the old Lugosi,Karloff,Chaney films-Famous Monsters of Filmland was my Bible. FJA was more of a father figure to me-as warped as that may seem-then my own father.

Hmmm.  I guess my early friendships on here were with Cheezeflix and All Hallows Day . . . and you, Ronnie!
Then Trevor, and Sister Grace, whom I miss . . . Killer Bees, and Dr. Menard - who was kind enough to give me a sub forum in a little forum he created.  It didn't last but it was still pretty cool.

And my new friends, like Alan and Tracy, who I chat with frequently.
And a longstanding friend whom I introduced to this place - ER.

This really is my internet home, you know it?

LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Cheers

Real close to? First?  Must have been Doggett.  Then Trevor.  Or maybe the other way 'round.  Seems to me they have always been there so it is hard for me to tell.  Several others I consider friends (they know who they are, I hope) since then but I am pretty sure those two were the first.

I can't say that I'm really close to anybody on the board, mostly because I'm just not that person. But I've been here so long it's inevitable.

To this day, Ash is the only person I have ever had an actual conversation with. It was the Xbox connection, we played a session of Gears of War. He also named me in a YouTube video he made when YouTube was new. That's right, YouTube was new. It's been a long time.

Also, for some reason, the Andrew chose me as one of the guys to help proof his reviews. It was a long time ago, but I've had many talks with Andrew and Derf about grammar choices.

ulthar, a guy not around so much these days, has been my debate partner for ages. We don't agree on much, but the arguments have been fascinating. I called him the smartest guy on the board, and I would still have to agree with that. We really don't agree on much.

Quick shout-outs. The Good Rev, same fascinations, I sent him some silly reviews. Trevor, ah, Trevor. I've said so many very mean things and he always comes out laughing. The Darksider, well, he's meaner than I am. RCMerchant, dig that guy's art.

Oddly enough, my favorite person on the board is Newt. We're not close, but apparently we share a very particular frame of reference, which is always nice.

To anybody I forgot, don't feel bad, I'm usually drunk when I write things like this.

Oh, I almost forgot. indianasmith and I are almost polar opposites in every way, except that guy has incredible taste in movies. If he says a movie is good, you can pretty much guarantee the movie is worth watching.

Unfortunately, I've never met anyone from this forum in person  Bluesad.  However, we must ALL feel very close to Trevor because we know intimate details about his undies.  I can honestly say that, based on the banter in this forum, there is no one here that I DON'T like (except for the occasional troll).  This is the only website except for Facebook where I feel like I'm actually talking to the people and not just posting random questions and answers to a bunch of nameless, faceless avatars.  I salute you all  Cheers.

It was MENARD who brought me here, from the now defunct SciFilm forum.  JASE also was on that forum.  But it would have to be our own RCMerchant (BELA) that I feel closest to and is my first friend here.    I have always admired CIRCUS though he hasn't been on here for a year and a half (I just recently asked him again to come back - through f**kfacebook - I do miss him being around).  Darksider is a cool guy that I don't interact with much anymore, but I always like to see him around.
