Hey everyone!

Have any of you heard of a really odd, really trashy movie called Space Warriors 2000?

There's a campaign just starting to try and get this an official dvd release and was hoping some of you guys would jump on board with this!

If you're on Facebook just look up Space Warriors 2000 in "pages" and you should be able to find it!

Otherwise there are more details on the Cyberschizoid blog and the Monster Island News blog!!

Isn't that an Ultraman flick.  Question

Yes...sort of!

Here's a quote that hopefully explains it...

"Let me tell you about a a very cool little film that you probably have never heard of called "Space Warriors 2000" which is a mish-mash of clips from old "Ultraman" episodes, and from the looks of it other Japanese monster movies, combined with new footage to create a stand alone movie.

Think of it like "Power Rangers", "Gamera Super Monster" or how Turkish sci fi films are made.

Anyway the film was produced in the mid 1980s and released to TV here in the United States. After the movie aired it disappeared into obscurity never to be seen again..."

this is the best movie ever. I have it more or less memorized still even 20 years later. My friend taped it and we watched a billion times. it's just fights with ridiculous dubbing. I don't seek out movies often but would love to have this one.

For as much Godzilla, Gamera and other kaiju movies I watch, I've never really gotten into the super hero vein of tokusatsu.  I've gotten a little more interested since last year's G-Fest.  Really, I don't remember a lot of it being around when I was younger.  I remember Spectra-Man and there was that one Ultraman series that wasn't made in Japan, but not a lot else that I remember watching.

Going to have to check this one out.
