I've been in the same situation with the music (used to listen to metal, don't so much anymore), really its hard for me to find any movies that genuinely grab my interest, especially lately. I'm still kinda lookin forward to zero theorem (I've always been a Gilliam fan) but thats been about it. I think I find what helps best sometimes is trying new things and always keeping an open mind to new things. For me though its just finding something new that grabs me thats been hard lately. I think archivist is on to something about letting an interest go into "sleep" for awhile. Myself I'm still looking for something new to interest me.

I'm not enjoying bad movies like I used to. Years ago I could watch movie after movie but now it's just eeeeehhhh. I try really hard to psych myself up for a flick and then I put it off thinking "maybe I'll feel like checking it out tomorrow". Unfortunately that rarely happens anymore. I just don't know what it is. It's like I have little to no attention span anymore. For instance, I got my hands on a copy of Drive In Massacre / Driller Killer not too long ago and I fell asleep about halfway through the both of them. Thing is I really didn't care to rewatch them the next day. I don't know what the hell my problem is, but it's really making me f**king sad.  Bluesad Has anybody on this board ever gone through this? Is it just a phase or what?  Question

Sometimes, we outgrow the tragically bad; those two films certainly qualify. I just bought a Mill Creek 12 film set that has both of them, the only two films in the set I hadn't seen previously, although I'd heard of them. DRIVE-IN MASSACRE was at least sorta watchable; The names of the cast and crew of DRILLER KILLER should be submitted to Homeland Security.

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

Sometimes you get focused so much on the ad movies that you forget to watch good movies.  It gets stuck in your head that you're the guy that likes those movies that nobody else likes.

I think every once in a while you need to just refresh yourself, but bad movies aside for a little bit, and watch some actual good movies.

We are of our age and unlike in the past, we feel we shoud be making better use of our time. That means watching some trendy tv series instead of ed Wood movies

Question  I can't relate, Lester.  I just watched THE VELVET VAMPIRE (1971) which is dreadfully stupid and badly acted.  I can't wait to catch it again.

I just got back from a Cape Town business trip: what sucks is that the lockdown did enormous damage to the once bustling and clean city centre. 😔

What did the hurricane say to the palm tree?

Hang on to your nuts, this is no ordinary blow job.

At age 9 I quite innocently told my mum that joke.

It would really suck to be someone who was only aroused by pool tables, and your only physical relationships were with pool tables. I think that would really suck.

Sometimes you go through a string of REALLY bad movies that are impossible to enjoy (Drive-In Massacre is one).  You just need to find good-bad ones to remind yourself not all are unwatchable.

I like "Drive-in Massacre" honestly.

Mostly because I'm facebook friends with John Goff.  I asked him on FB about that movie and he gave an honest and hilarious answer;  he made it because a friend of his who owned the Drive-in said it was going to be torn down after he sold it.. so if he wanted to make a movie there, he would have free reign... which he took instant use of.
