Apologies for the terrible pun and word play.  Wink

I last saw this thriller in my hometown cinema in 1979 - based on the novel by Agatha Christie, its' all-star cast with Peter Ustinov, David Niven, Bette Davis and Angela Lansbury still holds up after all these years.

That surprise ending - a bullet for you and one for me too - made me go  Buggedout back then and it still does.  Smile

I know I can make it on my own if I try, but I'm searching for the Great Heart
To stand me by, underneath the African sky
A Great Heart to stand me by.

Yeah, after having seen the film several times, the violence in it, especially for a film that was rated PG, continues to get me.  But, if you can get past the violence, then watch it for the cast, especially for Peter Ustinov who plays Poirot here. He was always such a "lovable teddy bear," whether in this or as Nero in 1951's "Quo Vadis," Kaptah in "The Egyptian," the Old Man in "Logan's Riun," or his last theatrical film, "Luther," where he played Frederick the Wise, that he was always a joy to watch, even if the films were not much. They don't make actors like him anymore.

A good bad movie is like popcorn for the soul!

I had not watched a lot of Ustinov's work - I mainly remembered him as the voice of Prince John in Disney's animated ROBIN HOOD.
But I loved his performances as Prince Frederick in LUTHER.
