I remember in grade school, and junior high, having items such as toys, magnets, magnifying glasses and such seized by teachers, with the promise that I'd "get it back at the end of the school year".

     NEVER happened.
Did anyone EVER get their stuff back?

If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.

I had one teacher who for some perverted reason, didn't want us knowing what time it was, so he's take away our wristwatches...

I don't really remember getting anything taken away . . . however, I did have  a high school chemistry teacher who was also a basketball coach, with no background whatsoever in chemistry.  On the first class day, he asked us to clean the science lab.  Two of the guys found his teacher's edition of the chemistry book, and the workbook that went with it.  They locked it in one of the drawers and took the key home with them.  He got his key back at the end of the year.

Needless to say, we didn't learn a lot of chemistry that year. TeddyR

The only time I got my stuff back was at the end of the 4th grade. I even got some stuff I didn't remember being taken away. Everyone said it was mine so who was I to argue?

In primary school, a teacher took the magazines and comics I read at breaktime.  TongueOut

More importantly, I was on the front page of a newspaper in 1972 when a reporter for that paper spotting me reading the paper. I brought the clipping to school: never saw it again.  Bluesad
