Weekends in May and June
Disney Hollywood Studios
Walt Disney World (Florida)

This has been happening since 2000, but this, I believe, is the first time Mark Hamill has made an appearance.

Highly popular. So highly popular they expanded it for an additional weekend this year. What with . . .

an expanded version of Jedi Training Academy, where boys and girls 12 and under get to fight Darth Vader or Darth Maul.

A daily parade

A nightly fireworks show.

Character appearances by the Star Wars characters, who can be seen in and about the studio.

And for the first time, dining with the characters, the Star Wars characters at breakfast and at dinner . . .

Jedi Mickey
Leia Minnie
Stormtrooper Donald
Darth Vader Goofy
Ewoks Chip 'n' Dale

So popular, guests who are attending are lining up at 2:00 a.m. to get a chance to get the autographs and a photograph with their favorite celebrities from Star Wars, and they are lining up at 2:00 a.m. to get a chance to shop at Darth Mall and purchase special Star War merchandise and collectibles.

As many years as its been held, I've never attended, for when I go to Walt Disney World, its the last weekend of the year, so I can celebrate NYE there. It's a great place to celebrate the New Year, even if the last time I went, what was normally a 30 minute bus ride back to the resort, where I was staying, stetched to 2 hours. The place was so crowded.

Lord knows what the place will be like, next year, when Episode VII of the Star Wars saga is suppose to be released.

Notice how quickly he 'channeled' those characters adlib? That's not easy to do for a lot of actors.  No "I need a script here!" for Mark.
