OK the rules of this game are pretty simple.

First someone posts a Youtube of a TV show episode. The next player then has to watch said youtube and leave a response as to his or her impression/opinion on what they just watched. After this, then they can then post a new youtube for the next player to watch.

So I'll post the first youtube to get the game started...

Tales Of Tomorrow: The Crystal Egg

I love the show's opening, with the electrodes and the lightning and the retro-style title.  So reminiscent of what I grew up watching in rerun and seeing in the comics of my youth as syndicated sci-fi shows always showed on TV and outlandish science fiction comics populated the news stands.

With regards to H.G. Wells, viewers familiar with Wells and War Of The Worlds
may go as far as to see The Crystal Egg as an artifact possibly left behind by the alien invaders, one of great power that many are vying for, in that typical cloak-and-dagger Cold War theme that plays out as the episode comes to it's predictable end.

Overall, not a great story, but your typical classic cautionary tale of cloak-and-dagger intrigue with some good old science fiction thrown in for good measure. Most of all, it's a great look back on TV it's it's early days, and the worlds of wonder it took us to.  Smile

I consider The Window which starts out as The Lost Planet to be one of the cleverest episodes of Tales of Tomorrow. It was very unusual to see a show from that era reach so outside the box so to speak. That's not to say the episode doesn't have some problems...the pseudoscience to explain the picture from the Window superseding the broadcast of The Lost Planet seems really out there, the characters in the window hardly prove all that likable even if one does initially feel a bit more sympathy for the abused wife and her lover (played by Rod Steiger), they're still capable of plotting something terrible. It is fun to actually get a glimpse of how things worked behind the scenes on Tales of Tomorrow back in its heyday. The characters also do feel surprisingly real, very much like real flawed, everyday people.
