I'm thinking of going. I gotta check my funds, though.
I'm right over in Philly, so hoping I can make it.
Although the Chiller convention was fun, it's become too crowded and no one can move or do a thing. back in the day it was a great place meet your favorite stars from past and present. I'd say the neatest con' I ever went to was 21 years ago this August.
In 1993 the 25th Anniversary of Night of The Living Dead was held in Monreoville, Pennsylvania. We stayed at the Radisson Hotel which was straight across from the Mall in 1979's
Dawn Of The Dead.
Not only did I meet the entire surviving cast of NOTLD (Duane Jones passed away from a heart attack about 3 weeks before the show) but there were other stars, like Adam West, Linnea Quigley, former Playboy playmate Susie Owens, Brinke Stevens, you name it. Not to mention the dealer rooms with myriads of comics and toys from days past.. Now
that was a show!
