Even though you can make them however you enjoy them best, I prefer mine like this:

I always use freshly grind beef from the butcher.
I don't mix in spices, breadcrumbs, sauces, bacon, eggs.
Only dry seasoning on each side of the patties. Salt, pepper, and sometimes a dusting of onion and/or garlic salt.
I like my burgers done but don't mind if its a tiny bit red in the middle.
I never grill burgers directly on the wire grid. I use a grill pan so that none of the juices get lost.
Favorite toppings: one or two slices of cheese (whatever available), dill pickles, sometimes bacon (when not too lazy preparing them), onions, very thin slice of tomato, and the classic red, yellow and white.

From yesterday  Smile

Do you grill burgers and how do you prepare them?

I season with this stuff.

Get the grill screaming hot and throw the patties straight on the grate. Burnt on the outside, but pink and juicy on the inside. Garnish with lettuce, onion, cheese and possibly bacon. (yum)

I like mine nice and pinkish red inside with plenty of juice running out when I take a bite.  Yum.

I love those, too bad my wife doesn't make them that way   BounceGiggle  I usually have cheese, bacon, pickles and ketchup and mustard on them.  With some potato chips on the side.

I like mine light grey inside, but still moist enough to enjoy.
A good Blue cheese burger is my fave, but anygood cheese will do. I love the effect a charcoal grill has on the beefy.

I do all of our grilling, so I've had to get used to what the family likes.  My wife and Andy both want medium-well, Garrett and Jenna like medium, and I like medium-rare (heavy on the rare).

Love a burger with ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, mushrooms, and a spicy cheese like chipotle gouda.

I have this unfortunate situation that everyone picks on me about. I am vegetarian. Not by choice either. Meat makes me sick even though it is delicious! And I have no moral objections to doing what animals do to each other anyways!

Here is an awesome idea I have for a burger (I get meat recipes come into my head all the time! It is cruel)

Like a cheese burger. But with. Grilled Chicken. Union. Tomato. Tasty cheese. Crispy bacon. Lettuces. Tasty Mayo. Like Aole. I would also make my grilled chicken be grilled in spices. And it would be nice soft sough dough bread. :) I am a cheff!
