I remember a clip from a film where there is this demented man, filmed from the waist down trying force entry to a house, a woman screaming inside.

He giggles like a child, and his face is never shown.  He makes his way inside and kills the woman with a bladed weapon.  It looks like it was filmed on a mediterranean island.

Anyone know what it is?

Could be Bloody Moon (1981) or maybe Anthropophagus (1980).

The Greek island setting also brings to mind the movies of Nico Mastorakis.
