Total recall lol, reminds me of when someone on here said it was the most violent film they'd ever seen  BounceGiggle

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE               STANLEY KUBRICK
People always say to me this was banned in the UK but I don't think it's quite that simple, Kubrick pulled it himself and as far as I know retail copies were always sold. I heard rumours that A Serbian Film was not allowed to retail here, aka it went to get a certificate and never got one - if it was going to be any film, it should have been this one but it's still a little surprising, our government tends to be subtle with censorship. What confuses me is I've seen "UNRATED" copies of things that were allowed to retail everywhere, so not sure where the internet tends to distribute those from probably streaming services.

A lot of really good movies on that list. Some pretty good B-movies too.

No idea at all: the two censor boards we had prior to 1994 never had to give a reason other than "this film is undesirable": bunch of morons.  TongueOut

Wow, that's quite a list. I bet that video bootleggers in your country did some brisk business with those titles, though. :D

They did but if you were caught with a banned film or publication, here were your choices:

1) A major fine
2) A jail sentence
3) Both.

You could also get one or all of the above for importing a film on the list into the country.
