I really enjoyed the movie myself. It's not my favorite Godzilla flick, but I'd put it above a good number of them. I wasn't too bothered by the restraint shown in the film, mostly because I felt they handled it properly.

That being said, I really hope they don't use it again in Godzilla 2, especially after confirming Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah at the last SDCC.  I just can't see a kaiju movie with four big names showing a terrible amount of restraint.

I would enjoy seeing those three in it, and have seen some of the pictures posted online of Ghidorah and Rodan.  I am unsure if they have confirmed that lineup for the next Godzilla.  To my knowledge, the most they had given was that Monster Island might be one setting.

Still, I'd like to see a lot of mayhem in the next film.

Is it worth the SA Rand 150 (about $15) price tag?  Smile

Legendary and Gareth Edwards confirmed them at San Diego Comic-Con:

EDIT:
They also announced that Legendary is working on a new King Kong movie entitled 'Skull Island' and a sequel to Pacific Rim. Needless to say there was a speculation s**t-storm after that...
