Saw this a number of years ago, it's good, because I remember it fairly well, and I still have fond memories of it, especially the acting in it.

It is based on the stage play by Ray Rigby, who also wrote the screenplay, and stars Sean Connery, Harry Andrews, Ian Bannen, Roy Kinnear, Ian Hendry, Sir Michael Redgrave, and Ossie Davis, who is--apparently--the only American actor in it.

As for "The Old Dark House," the 1963 version, I actually saw this one on TV, before I saw the superior original or the 1932 version. Still, the 1963 version has its pluses. The director was William Castle, and the stars were Tom Poston, Robert Morley, Janette Scott, Joyce Grenfell, Mervyn Johns, Fenella Fieldking, Peter Bull (in a double role), Danny Green, and John Harvey. There again it is one of those films I remember fairly well. Maybe not so much for the acting, which is acceptable, but for some of the most unique and bizarre on-screen deaths I have ever seen in a film.

If one has nothing better to do, then both films are worth watching (IMHO.)
