70's rape/revenge movie

for some reason I'm convinced it has the world 'Gun' in the title but couldn't find it searching that word on imdb. also doesn't seem to be any of the ones listed on Wikipedia's rape/revenge movie list, or any user-made list of rape/revenge films on imdb

if you've seen this you will know it straight away I'm guessing:

school teacher randomly meets a gun expert, asks him to do a talk to her class, they go on date, he rapes her, she joins local gun club to learn how to shoot so she can get revenge (he is also member of this gun club and sees her there which causes tension). she also gets her hair cut short. in the end she shoots him (or pretends to shoot him I can't remember) but he doesn't die, however he is in hospital at the end.

ring any bells? it's a good film and quite hard hitting, not a hollywood thriller type movie
