Help me to remember the name of the film!  it is an old horror film of the 80-90s, I remember that  there was a figurine or a wooden idol which brings misfortune and it could not be destroyed. And the family members began to die one by one.
I also remember the end of the film, the main character (the father) decided to get rid of this idol, he set fire in the garden, first he wanted to cut the idol with an axe, but the axe slipped and he hurt himself in the leg, then he threw the statue into the fire, and she flew over the fire and remained still, and the man slipped on the axe and burnt .

There are series called “Hammer house of horror” and one of the episodes is called “charlie boy”. The plot is the same but the film I saw had different actors and some details are different too (the figurine in my film is like a chopped billet with a human face and I remember his name was Harry). I saw this film in my childhood but I remember it was a little bit different. Maybe someone knows if there are films with the same plot that has “Charlie boy”, some kind of remake?
