I should add Shadows Run Black (1986). Mentioned it in the weird 80s slasher thread. GODAWFUL excuse for a slasher. Pretty much and 80s SOV film would qualify too (see: Blood Lake).

I'll have to add 3:33 AM to that list.
What a steaming pile of cinematic excrescence that was!

I will take my time with this.  I know you all know "WORST" does not necessarily mean "BAD" at all...

1. "IT'S ALIVE!" (1969) Directed by LARRY BUCHANAN.  Almost so BAD it's great, but, it's silly and ultimately BORING.

I'm not sure of any more... uhm...1953 ROBOT MONSTER???  Question THE SOUND OF MUSIC? GONE WITH THE WIND...? TeddyR  I'll come back.   BounceGiggle

2. MARY POPPINS (1964) I only saw this on a TV broadcast.  That was around 30 years ago.  I have not seen it since.  I grew up with an album of Disney movie songs and knew the songs in this movie well enough.  I didn't like the songs especially, but as for the movie: I hated it.  I kind of expected to.  I was too old to see it and any "magic" was lost on me.  Having seen most of the great DISNEY animations well past the time I might have most appreciated them, I LOVED all of them anyway.  I made a point to finally look at this film because of those other works, this flick was an obviously missing part of my movie viewing.  Did I say I hated it?

I saw it (Mary Poppins) as a really sick kid and have a real soft spot for it.

I can't believe I forgot to add MIDNIGHT (1981) to my list, but which one do I take off to make room??  I'll have to go back and look..

Also, I remember hating a SUPER obscure flick called Cotton Pickin' Chicken Pickers (1967).. one of the dumbest comedies I'd ever seen.

3. Alien Blood 1999          2.3

An ultra no budget movie with some of the worst editing I've ever seen, you can hear the camera men farting [/url]

A grotesque movie, rancid as s**t. This is the only movie I've ever watched which has made me physically ill. Not funny, annoying, too f**king long and Jamie Kennedy couldn't act his way to the nearest toilet.

Interesting topic here covering a wide variety of films from Bucky Larson to Mary Poppins and everything in between.

Lots of people do.  I didn't like it.

4. WHEN A STRANGER CALLS  (1979)
Saw this new in the movie theater.  Laughed at it.  I thought it was dumb.

As far as painful movies go it'd be hard to remember because I usually try to erase them from my memory...lets see

1. Eight crazy nights (I want to hurt this movie, but I can never hurt it the way it hurt me.)
2. Fun in balloonland
3. Foodfight
4. Anything by Tyler Perry.
5. The whole ("insert genre here" movie) franchise.
6. The room, though some parts were so bizarre as to incite laughter as im sure you all know.
7. Robot vs. Aztec Mummy
8. The girl in lovers lane
9. Baby geniuses
10. Saw or The butterfly Effect it's kind of a tie.

I have a soft spot for this one, as it, along with Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, was among my first "Holy Grails" of bad movies, back before video tapes were easily accessible. The title alone made me want it, and, yes, it is an annoying movie in a lot of ways, but it's just so bizarre that I can't help but like it.

One I forgot to mention is Meet the Feebles. I really wanted to like it. I had enjoyed Bad Taste, and I adore still Dead/Alive, but MtF makes me feel like my soul needs a shower.

Yeh, I think some people might remember those yearly Saturday afternoon broadcasts fondly.  And I mean that was a TV staple at Xmas time in the 70s.  SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS is the supreme example why many BAD movies are NOT entertaining.
In the case of this one, it ranks with torture.   BounceGiggle

7. THE HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK (1980 aka LA CASA SPERDUTA NEL PARCO)  Lookingup Thumbdown  DUMB.

8. SLEEPAWAY CAMP (1983)  Question

9. UNDER THE YUM YUM TREE (1963)  Lookingup Bluesad
