I hope I don't offend anyone with this post but I saw this over the weekend and I found it to be (a) very unfunny - I think I laughed twice if not less, (b) sexist and (c) misogynistic in the extreme.

I was in the mood for a laugh, I smiled here and there but ultimately, it was just meh for me.  TongueOut

but the 1970s were sexist and misogynistic  TongueOut

I must admit I didn't like it on my first viewing. I watched it again about two years ago and I was pleasantly surprised. It's basically a classic battle-of-the-sexes screwball comedy with 'contemporary' tasteless and rude jokes in a 1970s setting. I think it deserves its cult film status.

I liked it, mostly. I think it's probably the closest anyone's come to pulling off a 'wacky' feelgood comedy since the Naked Gun films. I thought the character of Ron Burgundy was funny and the early parts of the film were good, but I felt like it started to get bogged down in its own plot line, and got increasingly stupid as it went on. The last half an hour was not good

The best parts for me were the most off the wall. The 'Anchorman Rumble' was a hoot?

if you think it was sexist you might be too sensitive.  It was a really funny movie.  I liked the sequel too.

I'm not too sensitive: but I do have a feminist for a mother.  Smile

I respect your opinion but I disagree.  I love it.

I thought it was really funny, but if you didn't like the first one then avoid the second like the plague . It is rubbish.

I thought the second one was good and better then any comedy released in the last two years.
