My good friend and mentor Jans Rautenbach's first film in nearly thirty years is having one of its' first South African screenings in July at the National Arts Festival, Grahamstown.
I should add that this isn't a religious film but rather an examination of the human condition in a tortured artist who tries to escape his horrible world and live out his life through the work of a filmmaker. It is thus truly and tragically autobiographical and biographical in tone.
The selling line translates as If everyone listens but doesn't hear you, everyone looks but no one sees you.
